"Good morning. Before we start, this is our daily safety briefing. We are working at United Airlines Hangar 54 at Newark Airport. We follow OSHA, United, and Port Authority rules at all times. If you see something unsafe, you stop work and you tell me. Nobody gets in trouble for stopping work for safety.

Today we are working on [task]. The main hazards today are [hazards].

One — PPE. Today's PPE list is posted on the pre-work walk card. Review it now. If something is broken or missing, tell me before you start.

Two — Fall protection. Anyone in a boom lift or scissor lift is 100% tied off to the manufacturer's anchor point. No exceptions. The drop zone below elevated work is barricaded — do not walk under someone working overhead.

Three — Lifts. Only certified operators run the lifts. Before we move a lift today, the operator does the daily inspection — tires, controls, hydraulics, alarms, anchor points. If anything fails, the lift does not move. Sign the inspection sheet.

Four — Respirator and ventilation. During grinding, spraying, and coating, respirators are mandatory and mechanical ventilation must be running. If you smell solvent or feel dizzy, you leave the area immediately and tell me.

Five — Silica and grinding. Concrete grinding releases silica dust, which destroys your lungs over time. HEPA dust collection runs on every grinder. Anyone within the restricted zone wears the respirator. No exceptions.

Six — SDS sheets. The SDS binder is on-site. If you need to look up a product, the binder is open to anyone, anytime.

Seven — FOD control. This is an active aviation facility. Nothing leaves this work zone that did not come in with us. Every tool, rag, cap, screw — accounted for. End-of-shift FOD walk is mandatory. A missing bolt in this hangar can take down an airplane.

Eight — Hot work. Grinding throws sparks. Fire extinguishers stay within reach of every grinder. If we are doing any hot work today, we have a fire watch posted.

Nine — Housekeeping. Hoses, cords, materials routed so nobody trips. Spills cleaned right away — not later.

Ten — Emergency. If someone is hurt, you tell me first. I notify supervisor and call 911. Emergency Contacts sheet is posted. PFAS rescue plan is on the lift — if someone falls and is suspended in the harness, we have 15 minutes to get them down.
